Nike ACG Is Bringing Back Its Rufus Clog for the First Time Since 2011

Nike ACG is dipping both into its archives and the mulement for the first-ever return of the Rufus.

The outdoor clog with a man’s name made its debut in 2011 and has never been brought back until this year. The Rufus features a minimalist suede upper to go along with a more complex sole unit with tread. It’s the type of footwear best suited for the campground but that could still hold up should you pop into the woods for quick hike.

Not much has been documented about the Rufus’ original run, but the reception for its return is already demonstrating its second life will be more doted over than its first. Men have become more comfortable overall wearing different types of footwear, particularly clogs and mules post-pandemic, and Nike has been more than happy to them with both new models and more obscure ones from the past.

Concurrently, outdoor sneakers have also been one of the trendiest categories on the market — and Nike has a number of models, including the ACG Izy moccasin, returning this year.

The Rufus’ return will come in a “Limestone” colorway that sees its namesake hue form the suede upper, leather collar, and outsole. The midsole then arrives in black to form a simple two-tone arrangement.

The Nike ACG Rufus will release May 1, likely through the SNKRS app and select third-party retailers, for a price of $110. This post will be updated as more information becomes available.
