The Nike Air Max 1 is the first confirmed drop this year for Nike‘s annual Latino Heritage Month celebration, and joining the “Familia” collection soon will be a lively pair of Air Zoom Pegasus 40s.

A similar mix of hues and flourishes appear on both sneakers, although it stands out all the more on the Pegasus, a contemporary running sneaker, than the AM1, which had the same categorization more than 35 years ago and is now a lifestyle shoe.

White and pink mesh for the basis of the upper, with pink piping hosting exaggerated stitching in red, yellow, and baby blue. Yellow doily-like loops also sit above the toe, while the translucent green Swoosh hosts a multi-color, wavy graphic underneath. A green sockliner brings additional pop and matches portions of the outsole, the rest of which appears in a gum-esque brown. Anchoring the colorful affair is an off-white midsole, and overt “Familia” marks appear on the left tongue tag, both heels, and the graphic insole.

So far, the Air Max 1 and Air Zoom Pegasus 40 are the only confirmed sneakers in this year’s Latino Heritage Month celebration from Nike. Past years have seen a greater number of sneakers, so there’s a good chance we see the collection grow in the coming weeks. Look for the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 40 “Familia” to release Sept. 27 through the SNKRS app and select additional retailers. The retail price is set at $130.
