Off-White has released its latest sneaker.
Called the “Be Right Back” (BRB) sneaker, the fashion brand said in a press release on Thursday that the ’90s performance running inspired shoe serves as a sequel to its “Out Of Office” sneaker, which was designed by its late founder Virgil Abloh in 2020.
Featuring 11 colorways, the “BRB” sneaker merges performance running aesthetics with Japanese design principles. Features of the new silhouette include a graphic low-top upper that pairs mesh and rubberized leather with iconic Off-White codes, including signature typography, a zip tie, and a new take on the brand’s signature arrow.
Along with the sneaker’s core group of colorways, Off-White is also launching four additional limited-edition, destination-inspired hues dedicated to New York City, Miami, Milan and Paris. For the newly launched New York edition, the sneakers feature colors seen on the public buses that service the city’s diverse community, the brand said.

To celebrate the launch of the shoe, Off-White is hosting a series of events dubbed “Retreat” to encourage attendees to “Be Well” as they discover the new sneaker. The first space, “The Cleanse,” encourages them to leave the outside world behind via a scented, spa-like environment. Next, the “Recess Room” turns up the volume with a bar and social space that prepares them for the dance floor and refuels them throughout the night. Finally, “The Workout” amplifies the experience with its rave-like vibes and transcendent frequency.
The first “Retreat” took place at DCTV in New York on May 22. Off-White store activations in Miami will following on May 30, with another in Milan on June 18, and Paris on June 21 during Fete de la Musique.
Off-White’s limited-edition New York “Be Right Back” colorway is now available both in store and on the brand’s website. The shoe’s Miami, Milan, and Paris colorways will be released in the following weeks. The official launch for the remaining 11 colorways will be in September.
Off-White is known for its imaginative design codes. In past collections, the brand has introduced many quirky shoe silhouettes, including its “For Walking” boots, which literally have the words “For Walking” printed on the side, its Zip Tie jelly sandal and the Odsy-1000 sneakers, with exaggerated soles inspired by hiking boots.
In February, the brand showed basketball-inspired shoes at its fall 2024 ready-to-wear show during Paris Fashion Week. The chunky design attempted to recreate the cover of a basketball, which is often made of leather or rubber. The shoe was presented in different colorways, including an orangish style which featured black ribs and the Off-White’s logo printed on it along with the message “autograph here.” Another one was covered in crystals.
