Puma is going back to school for its latest collaboration with Staple.

“We’re excited to team up with Puma again on a collection that brings together Asian American culture, classic collegiate style, and our streetwear roots in New York City,” Staple’s founder Jeff Staple said in a brand statement. “These elements have been translated into timeless pieces that truly embody Staple as a brand.”

The FNAA-winning brand has partnered with Staple’s label for their new release, the “East West Ivy” line — which drops on both Oct. 17 and Oct. 19. The collection features inspirations from New York City’s streetwear scene and the Asian-American collegiate aesthetics of the ’60s for a vintage flair, including a revamp of Puma’s paneled Slipstream sneakers.

The style’s layered uppers are cast in both tonal off-white suede and deep brown leather colorways for the occasion — each accented with a gold Puma Jumping Cat charm and Staple’s gold yin-yang symbols on their tongues for a dash of shine.

Similar gilded details can be seen on the collection’s second shoe, the Suede. This round-toed, low-top style’s suede uppers are cast in two sharp colorways: one featuring a deep green palette with white stripes, the other including a brown base with red stripes.

Rounding out the collection is a variety of varsity jackets, athleisure, knitwear and T-shirts in a palette of green, yellow, black, white and more, featuring detailing from athletic-style lettering to embroidered graphics. On the accessories front, the line also includes a duffel bag, beanie and cap, as well.

You can shop Puma x Staple’s “East West Ivy” collection when it launches on Oct. 17 on Staple’s website, and Oct. 19 at Puma’s flagship stores, select brand stockists and website.
