Breanna Stewart’s Puma Stewie 2 Catches On “Fire”

With the introduction of the Puma Stewie 1, Breanna Stewart became the first WNBA player in more than a decade to get her own signature sneaker. Now on the second model for her performance basketball line, Stewart is getting a Stewie 2 that’s unquestionably “fire.”

Flames dress the Stewie 2’s upper for a brand-new “Fire” colorway inspired by Stewart’s fierce style of play. An engineered mesh starts in black with hot tails of red and yellow ripping across. The PWRTAPE overlays, which provide durability and security, now take on a more dynamic appearance with a gradient fading from blue to red and yellow. Bright yellow then envelops the Nitro-infused midsole, while Stewart’s logo on the tongue takes on a molten appearance.

Watch on FN

“Fire” is the fourth Stewie 2 colorway (team banks excluded) to release since the model debuted in May and the third in a series inspired by the four elements. “Water” and “Earth” variants have already surfaced, leaving “Air” as the next logical step, lest the brand leave us hanging. Puma has also maintained cohesion from the jump with an outsole pattern informed by fire, wind, and water.

Look for the Stewie 2 “Fire” to release Sept. 9 through Puma’s website, New York City flagship store, and app. Alongside the sneaker, which will retail for $125, Puma will also drop a black oversized hoodie keeping the theme alive with its drawstrings and other subtle markings. It’s a capsule Guy Fieri would certainly love, but certainly a capsule not only Guy Fieri could love.
