Size?’s Adidas Amsterdam Sneaker Pack Will See Through Blokecore in 2024

British-based sneaker retailer Size? has previewed its plans to keep blokecore alive and well with Adidas in 2024, and it doesn’t involve the Samba or Gazelle.

A four-pack of Size?-exclusive Amsterdams will arrive in the spring, ushering in the return of one of the more sought-after sneakers from Adidas‘ City Series. Bold colors define three of the four suede sneakers, each of which features a leather Three Stripes motif and mustache, as well as gold “Amsterdam” debossing in the style of the Samba and Gazelle. Each pair also has its own custom insole with graphics depicting the Dutch city that gives it its name.

The tonal red version sticks out as the most striking of all and features a slightly translucent cupsole. A navy pair then features a light blue gradient progressing through each of its stripes, as well as a yellow mustache and black sole. The turquoise pair maintains a tonal upper atop a translucent gum outsole, and the tan version features darker brown accents and a medium brown sole.

Adidas City Series began in the ’70s and grew to include models for 24 European cities. Although not much is known about the Adidas Amsterdam, or perhaps because of it, the sneaker is one of the more sought-after of the series. It looks a lot like the Gazelle and Samba, but the easiest way to differentiate the Amsterdam is through its mustache and toe paneling.

The last time the Amsterdam was released was in 2020, when it took on an original colorway that’s an inverse of Size?’s tan pair. Size? has switched up the lateral branding for the Amsterdam, though, as it previously appeared horizontally beneath the collar along with a mark for Adidas.

The Size? x Adidas Amsterdam pack doesn’t yet have a release date but will touch down in the spring. This post will be updated as more information becomes available.
