Balenciaga‘s newest high heels bring a dramatic take to romantic footwear.
The French luxury brand’s fall 2023 collection is packed with a wide array of individualistic, unique footwear — including its latest pump style, launched in celebration of the traditional romance-focused Chinese Qixi Festival. This $1,900 “Marie-Antoinette” style features a pointed-toe silhouette with closed counters and sharp toes, complete with matte black uppers and 4.33-inch stiletto heels.
For a dramatic finish, the style is coated in a layer of knotted black satin bows. The monochrome style brings the shoes a decadent flair, in the spirit of their namesake royal — the teenage queen Marie Antoinette, known for her extravagant lifestyle as France faced economic hardships in the 1700s.

The style is the most recent high-heel release from Balenciaga, alongside its new pumps with a toe-shaped base — also elevated with thin stiletto heels.
Balenciaga’s fall 2023 collection includes a wide array of footwear with a variety of textures, colors and finishes, including sock booties, chunky sneakers and toe-sculpted ballet flats. The range also notably includes a selection of the label’s signature “Cagole” boots, complete with zipper and stud accents in iterations including metallic gold, shimmering gray, blue denim-printed and white faded-effect leather.
