Clarks Originals & Stüssy Gamble in Style With Their Las Vegas-Inspired Collaboration

Clarks Originals is collaborating with Stüssy once again to interoperate its Walabee style.

Not much is known about the collaboration yet, but both brands teased their project on Instagram pages today, accompanied by images of the new footwear style.

This time around, the Walabee rendition seemingly includes black suede uppers and incorporates diamond, club, spade and heart motifs stitched in red and white on the toes, a four-card suit. For the campaign, the Las Vegas-inspired footwear was styled with a pair of chunky white ankle-length socks, creating a preppy appearance.

This isn’t the first time both heavy-hitting brands have come together. In 2010, Clarks Originals tapped Stüssy to reinvent their iconic Wallabee Boot, casting it in a grungy leather and ballistic nylon. In 2015 and 2019, they released more co-branded footwear, further interpreting their Walabee style once again for the fall and winter seasons.

Clarks was founded in 1852 in Somerset, England, by brothers James and Cyrus Clark. Today, the footwear brand operates in retail, wholesale, franchises and online channels in over 100 markets.

Stüssy is a fashion house born in southern California’s surf scene in the 80s and 90s. The brand was created by Shawn Stussy and has become a staple brand of the streetwear scene thanks in part to its laid-back identity. Since its humble beginnings, Stussy has since become a household name in the fashion and hip-hop industries and is available in Europe, Asia, the United States, Canada and Australia.

Beyond Stüssy, Clarks Originals recently collaborated with Billionaire Boys Club, interpreting the Walabee in ‘Quercia,” off-white “Spiaggia,” and bright orange “Fanta” colorways. The uppers of each style include an all-over diamond and dollar sign print.

Clarks Originals and Stüssy will be available worldwide at select chapter stores and stussy.com on Sept. 29 at 10 a.m. EST.
