The latest shoe release from Jimmy Choo could have come straight from a fairytale.

The footwear brand unveiled its new Crystal Slippers on Thursday. The shoes are covered in approximately 12,938 Swarovski crystals in nine different shapes and sizes. The sparkling silhouette resembles the famous Cinderella’s glass slippers.

Fairytales have inspired footwear designers and high-luxury brands for years, including Christian Louboutin, Gianvito Rossi and Giuseppe Zanotti. In 2015, Disney teamed up with a team of renowned designers to create silhouettes inspired by the 1950 movie “Cinderella.” Paul Andrew, Jerome C. Rousseau, Rene Caovilla, Stuart Weitzman and others were featured in the project.

Also in 2015, actress Lily James wore Jimmy Choo heels at the premiere of the live-action version of “Cinderella.” Her shoes were similar to the brand’s newest release.

Speaking of sparkling shoe styles, Jimmy Choo unveiled its bridal 2024 collection on Jan. 9, introducing crystal-embellished pumps, platforms and sneakers.

On Tuesday, the brand also released its men’s spring 2024 collection, featuring British actor Guy Remmers, who stars in AppleTV+’s “The Buccaneers” and can be seen wearing the brand’s Sammy Boot, Etta Mule, Finnion Monstrap and Marlow Moccasin in the campaign.
