Joules Rainboots Launches Online Design Competition

British lifestyle brand Joules, known for its novelty rainboots, is inviting consumers to express their creative side with the debut of a design-your-own-rainboots competition, which kicked off this month.

The aim of the competition is to raise awareness of the brand in the U.S. while engaging customers. Entrants are invited to create every last detail of their rainboots, from the base color and trim to drawing their own design or selecting from signature brand prints, such as the dog and hare. The U.K. has its own separate contest running, which will have its own winning design.

The U.S. competition closes on Dec. 4 and will be judged by company founder Tom Joule, brand director Chloe Ward and TV host and fashion writer Louise Roe.

The prize for the U.S. competition is a luxury five-night stay in London worth $10,000, including airfare and spending money. The winning design will be produced and sold as a limited-edition rainboot for fall ’16 on Joulesusa.com. The 10 runners-up will receive $500 Joules gift vouchers.
