Five Top Women’s Shoe Trends Looking Ahead To Spring ’17

Summer may have just kicked off this week, but shoe designers are already revealing their leading trends for spring/summer ’17. Here’s a sneak peek into the key looks for the upcoming season for those who like to shop early.

Espadrilles:
The iconic Spanish footnote will be making a strong showing in 2017. But this time around, they will be sport comfort-driven platform bottoms for a ’40s vibe. They’re the go-t0 look for a pair of shorts or a maxi dress.

Booties:
The popular silhouette has officially crossed the seasonal lines, now a year-round wardrobe staple. For spring ’17, designers are opening the toes and heels for a lighter approach.

Suede:
Once considered exclusively for fall and winter, suede is just as acceptable in the warmer weather, especially when done in lighter versions with a silky hand.

Cutouts:
Punched effects are continuing in delicate perforations to oversized geometric versions. It’s an easy way to open up just about any look and let in a cool summer breeze

Florals:
Flowers will be abloom in gardens as well as on shoes next spring, in delicate mini to oversized versions. This nature-inspired print is an easy way to soften a tailored pump, especially when mixed with natural elements such as cork.
