One of the most frustrating parts of all New York Fashion Week can be the wait to shop the pieces you’ve just seen on the runway. Fall 2020 isn’t exactly around the corner. Thankfully, some of the most inspired looks from this past week’s worth of shows happened IRL on attendees, not runway models. These are five of the biggest street style themes and how to shop them right now.
Colorful Plaids
Plaid is, of course, a timeless print. But in bold blues and bright pinks, plaid takes on a new personality, as witnessed outside of the NYFW runway shows. Incorporate a little or a lot of the cheerful print into your look — your call.

Lug Sole Boots
The crowd at NYFW was not shy about their love of heavy soled and study boots. Consider it a rebellion against spindly heels and impractical footwear (especially in the winter), sparked by brands such as Bottega Veneta. The look is achievable at several different police points, however.

Yellow
New York saw a lot of rain this last week but you may not have realized with the amount of bright, sunshine yellow pieces spotted within the NYFW crowd. The hue feels perfectly appropriate for the upcoming spring, but incorporates easy into winter looks by way of cozy cardigans and classic loafer silhouettes.

Jumpsuits
Fashion’s love of jumpsuits knows no bounds. It’s ease, polish and a complete outfit, all in one comfortable piece of clothing. It’s no wonder NYFW attendees chose the look for their packed schedules. They accessorized thoughtful with belts, long-line jackets and a great pair of boots.

Textural Boots
Texture makes a piece of clothing come to life, and especially so on a pair of sleek, tall boots. This theme, particularly a mock croc look, was popular among the NYFW crowd. Even in classic shades of black or brown, this textural detail makes any piece of footwear feel especially luxe and chic.
