This year marks the 5th anniversary of the adidas Ultraboost. To celebrate, The Three Stripes will be releasing a pack consisting of two models, the UB DNA and 20.
For the new decade, adidas has released various different UB DNA colorways to support the 5th anniversary of the original Ultraboost that released back in 2015. Along with these colorways, we also saw the launch of the latest UB 20 for the new year.
This specific pack represents the evolution of the Ultraboost franchise from 1.0 to 20. The colors tie back to the original colorway and both shoes include new features such as a gradient boost midsole. For the UB 20, while the knit upper arrives in all black, the heel features a mesh design that consists of a gradient black to white design. Purple stitching texturizes the toe while a black synthetic lace cage features purple detailing and silver Three Stripes branding. A chrome-finished heel clip adds a nice flare while the highlight of the design is easily the Boost midsole. The heel portion is painted in white while a gradient aesthetic blends to grey, black and then purple. Lastly, the white heel of the UB20 represents a white space for the next generation of Ultraboost that is still to come.
