This year, Asics introduced the GEL-Quantum Kinetic to their SportStyle family. Designed hand-in-hand with the Asics Institute of Sport Science, the model is an experimental exploration of form and function in every day use. The Kinetic uses aesthetic inspiration from past running models, combined with a cushioning platform that is intended to provide excellent shock absorption and energy distribution in everyday scenarios. This week, Kiko Kostadinov’s take on the high-tech model is set to release, dubbed the US5-S. Arriving in two colorways, “Moss/Bamboo” and “Light Indigo/Peacoat”, the green & blue pairs feature different meshes from the standard in-line releases, in addition to external synthetic layers with a shinier coat for an eye-catching look.
