COMME des GARÇONS’ Homme sublabel has been presenting exciting collaborations with New Balance for several years now, and the two are continuing the partnership in 2021. Previewed during the brand’s AW21 shoe, check out the CdGH New Balance 57/40.

Earlier this month, New Balance introduced its latest upgrade of a classic silhouette and the first of 2021. Long overdue for a modern-day redux, the New Balance 574 has been an essential piece of the brand’s ongoing lineup as well as its history. Originally debuted in 1988, the 574 was built for technical running over long distances. Lauded for its comfort, the 574 quickly became an essential piece of the New Balance puzzle and has remained as such into the modern-day. Now, New Balance is ready to refresh the 30-year-old silhouette, giving the style a 2021 upgrade titled the 57/40. Premiered earlier this month, this week COMME des GARÇONS Homme previewed its take on the exciting new silhouette, said to release sometime this Fall season. The CdGH New Balance 57/40 features a tonal all-black construction, a common occurrence for Homme projects. The numerous layers of the shoe are highlighted by the various materials used, including ripstop, suede, mesh and more. The CdGH 57/40 is also equipped with a Gore-Tex water-resistant upper, giving them a purpose when they finally drop later this year.
