New Balance’s 860v2 triumphantly debuted last year, making a splash amongst fans of the brand’s over-the-top design. Now, Dime in Montreal is taking a crack at the modern-day retro runner, delivering two new colorways this Fall.

Back in the 1990s, New Balance was at the top of their game in the running category. The 99x series was everywhere, and the 850 was shifting the idea of what New Balance footwear could look like. Then came the 860. Built to be lightweight, agile, and stable, the new silhouette was a sleek and streamlined departure from some of the Boston-based brand’s previous endeavors. Featuring an airy mesh upper and slim taped overlays, the 860 quickly became a favorite among runners. Now, more than 20 years after its original release, New Balance has given us a sequel. Simply known as the 860v2, the new runner is taking on a special release from Montreal’s Dime this Fall. Leaked in close-up photos over the course of this week, the Dime x New Balance 860v2 paints the complex running shoe in two simple colorways; one in NB’s classic grey tones, and the second in black with navy blue mesh and yellow accents. While photos are limited, its pretty easy to see both pairs will be made from premium materials and top-of-the-line construction.
