adidas Consortium’s globetrotting collaboration circuit returns to New York City this month, with the upcoming launch of Extra Butter’s “Cableknit” collection. Headlined by the SC Premiere with some luxurious new upgrades, the project launches next week.
New York’s Extra Butter is reuniting with adidas’ Consortium division this month, for the first time since their AlphaBounce Beyond collaboration back in 2018. This time around, the two are going for something more leisurely, taking their inspiration from the history of cricket fashion. Titled the “Cableknit” collection, the project reimagines the adidas SC Premiere and classic adilette with reworked Primeknit uppers, constructed in, obviously, a cableknit pattern. The SC Premiere is the star of the collection, featuring the knit base layer reinforced by full-grain leather overlays along the toe, vamp, and mudguard. Jacquard stripes are added to the heels in navy and scarlet for a touch of color, while gold detailing around the shoe completes the look. The Extra Butter SC Premiere will be available in two colorways, navy and white, though the navy version will be exclusive to EB’s primary release. The adilette will also be available in white with scarlet stripes, along with a navy blue wool cap featuring an “Extra Butter Sporting Club” logo.

The upcoming “Cableknit” collection from New York’s Extra Butter and adidas Consortium is scheduled to debut exclusively at EB on April 21st, 2020, followed by a global Consortium retail release on April 28th. The cableknit SC Premiere will come with a retail price of $130, while the adilette sandals will go for a cool $60.
