HYPEBAE’s mission of bringing women’s sneakers into the mainstream has been an essential part of the necessary change in the footwear world. In an industry otherwise dominated by men’s footwear released in men’s size runs, the Hypebeast offshoot has been bringing more women’s sneaker news and insights to the table over the past several years, and now, the publication has launched its first-ever collaboration exclusively for women, the Reebok DMX Thrill. The silhouette begins with a soft cream white knit textile upper, mounted on top of a sleek Reebok DMX sole unit. Rubberized overlays are added strategically to the toebox and sidewalls for support, while a mesh tongue helps keep it light and breathable. This limited edition DMX Thrill features accent colors in orange and olive green to complete the look, and as an added bonus, all proceeds from HBX sales will be donated to GirlTrek, the largest public health, non-profit organization for Black women and girls in the U.S.
