New Balance Dresses the 1000 in Red & Black

New Balance 1000 Red Black

The New Balance 1000 is quickly becoming a staple in the brand’s catalog this year, with a wide range of collaborations and in-line colors kicking off their Summer season. This week, a new standard-issue release has surfaced for later this year, dressing the silhouette in a striking shade of red paired with black and grey.

The first new appearance of the 1000 from New Balance came early this year, when the brand held a showcase event in Paris to unveil some upcoming collaborations and retro models. The 1000 was the silhouette that bridged the gap between the two, displayed in a range of in-line colors as well as debuting JoeFreshGoods’ take on the 1999 runner ahead of its debut in April. Since then, Aimé Leon Dore has released their three-piece collection of the model, and standard-issue pairs have begun to hit shelves, with plenty more lined up for the rest of 2024.

This week, we have an early look at the latest pair to surface for the 1000’s first-ever retro run, expected to arrive sometime in Fall 2024. This pair covers the bulk of the shoe’s upper in a bold shade of red, breaking up the color with a black mesh underlay and midsoles. The palette also hides a few dark grey accents, spotted on the toes and heels, midsoles, as well as the ‘N’ logos on each side.
