Earlier this month, New Balance gave us an early look at their new “Vintage Sport” collection, which features pairs of the 1500 and 991v2 in a simple color scheme. Now, the Made in UK 576 has joined the project and has been released ahead of schedule.

Sneaker brands are slowly beginning to roll out new releases to celebrate this year’s Olympic Games in Paris. Lots of styles have surfaced in the past few weeks that pay homage to the host city’s national colors, white, red, and blue. New Balance has fleshed out a whole collection for the occasion, which they’ve dubbed “Vintage Sport”. The first two pairs from the series emerged early in June, and cast the 1500 and the 991v2’s Made in UK variants in a soft palette of off-white with red and blue accents. Now, the 576 has joined the project and was released ahead of schedule.

The New Balance 576 trainer returned to New Balance’s catalog last year, joining both the Made in USA line under Teddy Santis’ direction, as well as their Made in UK line. This week, the brand surprised us with a fresh release of the UK version, joining their recent “Vintage Sport” series for the upcoming Olympics. The look features an off-white shade across the mesh base and leather overlays, with hints of grey around the heels. Accent colors come in navy blue for the soles and ‘N’ logos, as well as red branding to complete the look.
