With the coldest and wettest months of the year ahead of us, sneaker brands are breaking out their seasonal materials, like New Balance adding Gore-Tex to the 580, coming soon.
The 580 from New Balance is the latest ’90s model to see a brand new string of releases from the Boston brand, repurposing the old school silhouette for modern lifestyle wear. This season, NB is taking it a step further, adding waterproof Gore-Tex textiles to the retro running model for a more Winter-ready design. One of their first colorways for the revised edition comes in a simple ‘Black’ and magnet Grey color scheme, which begins with a dark grey mesh base layer, adding its suede overlays in jet black. The shoe’s mid layers and ‘N’ logos come in grey, with a matching midsole and Gore-Tex tags to complete the look.
NEW BALANCE 580 GORE-TEX ‘BLACK’ RELEASE INFORMATION
New Balance’s upcoming Gore-Tex edition of their 580 model has not been announced for release yet, but is expected to launch sometime before the end of 2023. Dressed in a black and grey color scheme for Winter, pairs will likely be available from both the brand’s Launches page and select retailers for a hefty $170.
