New Balance’s New Olive Green Palette for the Made in USA Line Lands on the 998

New Balance 998 Made in USA Olive

New Balance’s next wave of the Made in USA Seasonal Collection is gearing up for release. This round features a fresh ‘Olive Green’ palette, which will come in the form of the 998 later this year.

New Balance’s retro 998 is continuing to make a strong showing of new colorways this year, revived recently to join the Made in USA lineup. Originally released in 1993, the silhouette turned thirty years old this year, marking another historic milestone for the Boston brand’s extensive archive of sneakers over the decades. This week, a new ‘Olive Green’ color scheme joined the list of upcoming releases, matching with a 990v4 that first leaked earlier this month. The pair begins with a pastel green mesh base layer, adding tan leather mid layers to the forefoot and heels. The dusty olive shade makes up the shoe’s suede overlays, while the whole palette is broken up by white elements for the laces, lining, ‘N’ logos, and midsoles.
