New Balance 998 Made in USA Plum PurpleNew Balance is slowly rolling out their latest seasonal collection from the Made in USA line. This week, we got a release date for the ‘Plum Purple’ 998, arriving later this month.

The New Balance 998 was originally introduced in 1993, building on the growing legacy of the 99x family with a sleek new addition. The model was the first-ever NB shoe to utilize their Abzorb cushioning, which continues to appear on their footwear to this day. Now revived for its thirtieth anniversary, the model has joined the Made in USA line under the creative direction of Teddy Santis. Today, we got a release date and first image for the new ‘Plum Purple’ look, which covers the shoe in a near-tonal dark purple shade. Minor accents in light grey help round out the new style.
