Nike’s Air Footscape Woven first appeared in the mid-2000s, building on the brand’s Footscape model from the 90s. Now, the Woven is set to return in new colorways in late 2023, including a ‘Fir Green’ style.
Nike’s Footscape line first debuted in 1996, introducing a radical new form of athletic footwear to the brand’s arsenal. The culmination of years of research, the Air Footscape was modeled after scans of athlete’s feet, resulting in a shoe that conforms to the natural shape of feet, and using an asymmetrical lacing system for a more comfortable fit. This year, the Air Footscape Woven, which kicked the project into another gear with an interlocking nylon weave down the sides, is set to release in a string of retro drops. We’ve already seen some new colors in black & grey, as well as a cowprint style. Now, a ‘Fir Green’ style has emerged, and is expected to release later this year. The look features a dark green suede for the shoe’s textile portions of the upper, with black nylon for the woven elements.

Nike’s retro releases of the Air Footscape Woven have not been announced for release yet, but we expect to see them launch sometime near the Holiday 2023 season. Seen here in ‘Fir’ green with black woven elements, pairs will be available from the SNKRS app and select retailers with an expected $150 price tag.
