The Nike Air Force 1 is taking on dozens of new iterations and styles throughout this year, but today we have a close look at a very special pair, celebrating Nike’s namesake, the Goddess of Victory.

Nike’s recent push to bring new stories and colorways to the classic Air Force 1 has brought about dozens, if not hundreds, of new pairs all preparing to release sometime in 2021 and beyond. While some make changes to the materials or construction of the AF1, and others merely introduce new color blocking, today we have an early look at a special pair that celebrates the history of Nike, particularly the brand’s name itself. Titled the “Goddess of Victory” Air Force 1, this pair makes some noteworthy changes to the silhouette, swapping out the overlay materials for special textured leathers, as well as using exposed-foam tongues covered by a sea-shell-shaped mesh. covering. Nike Air logos in greek lettering are found on the left heel, while a simple leaf embroidery dresses the right, and “Goddess of Victory” logos on each insole complete the look.
