Nike’s Air Huarache has been steadily launching in new colorways since its returns back in 2021, in celebration of its anniversary. This week, a new ‘Michigan’-colored pair surfaced, featuring ballistic nylon outer layers.

Nike’s thirtieth-anniversary celebration for the Air Huarache appears to be stretching into 2022, as evidenced by a number of new colorways still on the horizon. Remastered to mimic the original 1991 run of Huaraches as closely as possible, Nike has been pumping out fresh colorways of the vintage runner all year long, with plenty still waiting to be deployed for the rest of the year. This week, we got an early look at a new ‘Michigan’ colorway, which adds some new materials to the mix for the Huarache. Beginning with a navy blue toe box and neoprene underlay, a matching navy ballistic nylon is added to the toes and quarter panels, while a black inner bootie is just underneath. The heel counter mixes black with a flash of yellow, matching the tongue’s Huarache branding. Finally, a light tan midsole completes the look.
