Nike’s Air Huarache remaster has been making the rounds since it first launched early in 2021. This week, we have our first look at a classic Nike look, dressing the Huarache in a smooth “Royal” color scheme.

The Nike Huarache continues to surface in new colorways this year, building on the shoe’s thirtieth-anniversary revival in 2020. By now, the Huarache is available in a wide range of color scheme from both Nike and third-party stores, and there are still plenty more on the way. Today, we got an early look at one of the Swoosh’s next releases, which casts the retro runner in a fan-favorite ‘Royal’ color scheme that originally released on the Air Jordan 1 in 1985. The Huarache’s version is somewhat simpler, beginning with a black mesh base layer as well as black leather overlays for the mudguard and quarter panels. The shoe’s neoprene portions are added in the namesake deep blue shade, while the heel counter adds a flash of grey to even things out.
