The Nike Air Max 1 has made a triumphant return this year, delivering a massive wave of new colorways for the retro runner. This week, we got an early look at a recent ‘University Gold’ pair coming this Fall.
Air Max 1s have made a huge comeback over the last year, seemingly poised to take over as Nike’s premier retro model, much like the AM90 was in 2020. So far, we’ve seen plenty of original colorways, reissues, and a wave of fresh styles, the latter of which the Swoosh is adding to regularly. This week, we got our first look at an upcoming ‘University Gold’ style, which pairs a neutral palette with a bright accent color. The pair begins with a white mesh base layer, adding pale grey overlays to the midfoot and heels. The mudguard comes in a jet black suede wrapping the perimeter of the shoe. The Swooshes, Air bags, and branding come in the signature University Gold to complete the look.
