The sequin trend has been going strong for the past year or so now and finally the shimmery theme has crossed into the sneaker industry on the latest Air Max 97.
Whenever you’re out and bout, it’s hard to not notice the sequin craze that has taken off as of late. From kid’s toys to blankets and pillows, the design has caught on like wildfire and it was only a matter of time the material would enter the sneaker community. Now featured on the iconic Nike Air Max 97, the theme adds a fresh new trendy take to the classic runner which looks right at home on the silhouette. Calling for a black upper, sequins cover the entire build on the base, overlays, and tongue while black velvet adds even more luxurious nods on the sockliner. Red is then used on branded portions, being displayed on the tongue branding, lace dubrae, and Nike Swoosh. A black midsole and red Air unit then grace the design and finish off the brand new look nicely.
