Nike Adds Swarovski Crystals to a Two-Pack of Air Max Plus

Nike’s SNKRS Showcase livestream returned today, giving us an early look at a wide range of new styles and silhouettes coming later this year and through Spring 2025. Amongst the shoes shown, they unveiled their latest work with Swarovski crystals, decking out two colorways of the Air Max Plus in glittering jewels for a Holiday 2024 release.

This week, Nike hosted their second livestream of the SNKRS Showcase series, which kicked off in Fall 2023. Instead of their usual livestreams, which highlight specific shoes and colors one at a time, the Showcase event pulls back the curtain to show us some of what the Swoosh has planned for the next months, even up to a year away. We have seen the releases of nearly every shoe from the original event last year (save for the Air Max SNDR), so Nike has revived the event to give us an early look at what to expect in late 2024 as well as Spring 2025. We saw some new silhouettes and upcoming rereleases, but the most eye-catching pairs were their next project featuring Swarovski crystals for this year’s holiday season.

Nike’s releases featuring Swarovski Crystals infused into their footwear date back to 2017, when the Air Max 97 paved the way for these highly unique and delicate shoes. They’ve periodically dipped their toes back into the decorative material from time to time, most recently releasing a special pair of Ja Morant’s JA 1 last year. Now, they’ve unveiled their next silhouette to get the crystal treatment; the Air Max Plus. Shown in two colorways during their SNKRS Showcase stream today, the classic “Sunset” pair features a gradient of gold and red crystals across the shoe’s underlay. Additionally, a new “Moonlight” pair joins the pack, featuring a jet black upper with shimmering crystals added to the shoe’s cage system.

NIKE AIR MAX PLUS SWAROVSKI PACK RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike has yet to officially announce the release of their upcoming Swarovski Pack for the Air Max Plus, but they did note that both styles would release later this year for the Holiday 2024 season. Featuring the classic “Sunset” color scheme alongside a new “Moonlight” edition, both studded with crystals, pairs will likely be available exclusively through Nike’s SNKRS app for an expected $450.
