Devin Booker’s first signature sneaker from Nike is finally launching this weekend. The ‘Chapter 1’ edition of the Book 1 will release exclusively at UNKNWN this week in a “Clay Orange” color scheme.
Devin Booker’s first signature model with Nike is here. After several months of leaks and teases with Book wearing them in games, the silhouette will debut this weekend through an exclusive drop at Miami’s UNKNWN for Art Basel 2023. Designed to bridge the gap between performance and lifestyle footwear, the Book 1 Chapter 1 resembles a modernized Air Force, with similar paneling, but packing plenty of court-ready tech. For its initial release, the model comes in a “Clay Orange” color scheme, and sports a reptile leather material across its toes, collars, and heels. The main panels feature a similar pattern, but appear to be made from a more durable canvas textile. Underneath, the midsole adds Zoom Air cushioning in the heels, Cushlon midsoles, and a shank plate for torsional rigidity. The shoes also feature a number of details taken from Book’s personal life, including his birth year on the pull tabs, family initials on the inner tongue, and a barcode on the insoles with numbers representing his jersey, hometown, high school and Phoenix.
