The Nike Kobe line is back in full, with plenty of releases popping up for the next year. Today, we got an early look at a Spring 2024 colorway, coming in bicoastal blue suede for the “Girl Dad” special edition.

Nike’s Kobe products have had a tumultuous release schedule since the Black Mamba’s death in 2020. When the Swoosh began selling products with his name on them, they sold out instantly, with Vanessa Bryant publicly stating her dissatisfaction with the brand’s handling of the situation. After renegotiating a new contract, she has reported that there will be more than enough Kobe sneakers to go around for the foreseeable future, with Nike continuing to expand on their Protro (performance retro) line. This week, a new style of the Kobe 4 Protro has emerged, paying homage to his famous “Girl Dad” statement. The look comes in an all-suede construction cast in a soft bicoastal blue shade, adding black suede Swooshes and black laces, linings, and heel counters. The phrase “Girl Dad” is stitched on the inside of each tongue to complete the look.
