Nike recently found success with their new React cushioning. The foam first debuted on the Epic React Flyknit, a lightweight running shoe. Now, the Swoosh is introducing a new model to the line, the Nike Odyssey React, coming soon.
Nike has reclaimed their sneaker throne in 2018. The Swoosh has captured the attention of sneakerheads so far with high-profile Jordan retros, new silhouettes, and new technologies like the brand’s React foam cushioning. React first made its way to Nike performance shoes earlier this year in the form of the Nike Epic React Flyknit. The shoe was received well and has proven itself to be a great all-around exercise shoe. Now, the Swoosh will introduce another silhouette to carry the new cushioning, the Nike Odyssey React. The new model is built to make the React technology more affordable, so the upper of this pair uses mesh and foam to create a comfortable fit. The Odyssey React also features a new sole unit, which takes on a different shape than before, as well as added rubber protection to the outsole, addressing the biggest consumer complaint. The new model will launch later this month in a handful of colorways for both men and women. The next Nike React running shoe will debut on April 19th, 2018. The unisex Odyssey React will drop in a handful of colorways, all priced at $120, a considerable price drop from the last React release.
