This Spring, Nike took over Paris to reveal a wide range of sneakers and apparel for their athletes in the Olympic Games. The SB team had a wealth of new gear to show, including a brand new silhouette, the PS8, inspired by Sandy Bodecker. Now, a simple black & clear colorway of the shoe has surfaced, arriving in August.

With the inclusion of skateboarding in the Olympics in 2020, Nike’s SB division has risen to new heights, outfitting Olympic athletes with all kinds of stylish sneakers and apparel. During Nike’s recent showing in Paris ahead of the Games’ July kickoff, the brand showed off an array of new footwear options for athletes, as well as some of the kits created for each country. The SB team was present, and showed off their latest new in-line skate shoe, the PS8. Named after and inspired by Sandy Bodecker’s legacy as the Problem Solver, the silhouette packs plenty of technology into a simple skate shoe, including FlyKnit uppers, Air Zoom in the soles, and a carbon fiber FlyPlate for better control.

After the unveiling of the SB PS8 in April, several colorways of the silhouette have surfaced for release later this year. The first is the “Olympic” color scheme with Safari print patterns, and now a “Black/Clear” edition has been slated to release in August. This style pits the shoe’s knit upper in black, pairing its leather overlays and taped layers in the same shade. The midsole is wrapped in a translucent rubber, hiding the shoe’s impressive cushioning technology within.
