The Nike Waffle One is the latest sneaker from the Swoosh to revitalize their vintage footwear, this time revamping the classic waffle-soled shoe invented by Bill Bowerman in the ’60s. Check out the Waffle One “Coconut Milk”, coming soon.

Nike’s Waffle One has begun to emerge in new new styles, mixing up the original construction of the shoe with slight changes, so mostly in the form of material swaps. Our latest early look at an upcoming Waffle One falls neatly into this category, swapping out the Waffle’s usual TPU-based mid-layer in place of a large-gauge spacer mesh, making the shoe’s upper significantly more breathable. The new style also comes with a fresh new color scheme, starting off in a flat gold “Coconut Milk” tone for the mesh and suede overlays, while an off-white Swoosh, brown heel clip, and purple and teal accents complete the palette. The speckled midsole, combined with the color scheme, lend a particularly “ACG”-esque feel to this Waffle One.
