PUMA Takes Inspiration from Tokyo Street Culture with the New “Japanorama” Collection

PUMA’s lineup of casual footwear has grown tremendously this year, and there’s no better way to highlight the hits than with a massive collection featuring ’em all. PUMA is doing just that this week, with the launch of the new “Japanorama” collection.

PUMA’s new “Japanorama” collection launches this week, bringing us a total of six silhouettes in new color schemes, all inspired by Tokyo street culture. Featuring the RS-X, RS 2.0, Roma Classic, Sky LX Lo and Hi, and the LQDCELL Extol, the new collection paints each silhouette with Japanese-inspired designs, informed by neon lights, clean and subtle detailing, and large embroidered branding that reads “PUMA” in Japanese. First up in the collection, the RS-X and RS 2.0 come in matching color schemes, starting with a  white base layer and adding overlays in grey and black, while bright red and blue accents complete the look. Next, the Sky LX is offered in two parallel color schemes, each subtle red and blue stitching accents to an otherwise cream-colored shoe, with a few accents in black to boot. Finally, the two most distinctive pairs in the collection are the Roma Classic, which comes in an all grey suede construction, while the LQDCELL Extol is the loudest in a royal blue color scheme with black overlays and PUMA Formstrip, as well as neon red highlights to finish off the Japanorama collection.
