PUMA Adds Mid-Cut Ankles to the New RS-X Utility

PUMA’s Running Series technology is killing it for the brand’s lifestyle division at the moment, thanks to both new and old interpretations of the midsole tech. Now, the German brand is adding a new weather-ready version with the RS-X Mid Utility.

The PUMA RS-X has been a staple of the German sportswear giant’s repotoire in 2019, releasing in new seasonal versions and special collaborations on a regular basis. October alone has seen several drops in the form of the RS-X Winterized and a special Tetris project, and there’s still plenty more to come. This week, PUMA announced the latest iteration of the future-retro silhouette, the RS-X Mid Utility. Built to the RS-X’s original specifications, the new Utility version simple adds a higher-cut ankle collar for increased support, as well as closing some gaps around the ankle that would allow rain, snow, and dirt during the harsher, colder months. The PUMA RS-X Mid Utility will make its debut in two initial colorways, the first being the shoe’s now famous red white and blue color scheme, and the second in a set of smooth olive and black tones.
