PUMA has been on a roll with their retro-themed releases this year, boasting a long list of collaborators like Transformers, MTV, and Motorola. Now, the brand is teaming up with Tetris to celebrate one of the world’s favorite video games through two RS sneakers.
PUMA’s celebration of all things 80s continues this week with another exciting new collaboration. This time, the German sportswear giant is launching a project in tandem with Tetris, one of the world’s oldest and most popular video games. Launched today, the collaboration includes two of the brand’s recent popular models, the RS-9.8 and RS-X, both of which are based on the retro Running System technology. The RS-9.8 features a more subtle color scheme, consisting of a whire mesh base with matching overlays, bold blue accents, and a Tetris piece pattern adorning the heel counter. The RS-X is more aggressive in its design, featuring a jet black base layer featuring bright orange and blue detailing. The heel counter also features Tetris pieces on this pair, this time nestled tightly together in their stacked look. Finally, both shoes are completed by dual-branded tongues and insoles, as well as Tetris branding on the lateral side of each toe box.
