Todd Snyder Celebrates it’s New York Heritage with the 997 “Triborough” Collection

Todd Snyder’s relationship with New Balance has always seemed to lead the New York designer back to the 997 model. This month, the partners released their latest version of the classic runner, building the 997 in three shades of suede for the “Triborough” pack.

Todd Snyder’s projects with New Balance always have a special way of catching our eye. Whether it is through a bright and unmissable color scheme, like the “Hudson” 997, or simply a clean colorway, like the “Ale” 990v3, they knock it out of the park every time. This week, the two reunited for their final release of 2020, once again featuring Snyder’s beloved 997 as the canvas of choice for the project. This collaborative effort brings back the original design of the 997, featuring the archival Flying NB logo long the quarter panels rather than the oversized leather ‘N’ logo that quickly took its place in the ’90s. This version of the 997 is offered in three colorways, each featuring a two-tone suede construction in your choice of grey, burgundy, or deep navy, and an accent shade of cream white.
