The following article was originally published on April 11th, 2024:

Though the opening ceremony for the Olympics is a few months off, Nike has officially descended on Paris. The performance side of their activation has centered around the Nike Pegasus Premium and the Blueprint Pack, spotlighting Air technology innovations that’ll land on the feet of Olympians in July. Not to be left out, Jordan Brand is set to figure heavily into the ceremonial slate, with the Air Jordan 6 “Paris Olympics” now joined by the Air Jordan 4 SE “Olympic.”

Initial information about this pair comes via @zsneakerheadz, indicating that this version will boast a blend of trademark “Smoke Grey,” “Iron Grey,” “Cement Grey” and “Particle Grey.” Safe to say, those adjacent neutral shades lead us to expect a comprehensive tonal treatment. Additionally, the “SE” subtitle in the shoe’s name likely speaks to some sort of material shift, as past releases like the Air Jordan 1 SE “Ivory” or this weekend’s Air Jordan 5 SE “Sail” have switched up the traditional composition of their models.

This celebratory edition is a pleasant bit of synergy for Jordan Brand. It continues the 35th anniversary celebration for the Jordan 4 while acknowledging the current JB athletes that’ll be competing on the world stage. Of course, the ties to Mike’s own performances in Los Angeles and Barcelona aren’t lost on us, and add to a rich base of storytelling for this pair to expand on.

The Air Jordan 4 SE “Olympic” is set to release July 27th, 2024, carrying a $225 retail price. In addition to the regular men’s size run, GS sizes are also expected. While a mockup is included below, please note that it is not an indication of final release product.

Keep a close eye on our Jordan Release Dates 2024 page for the latest on the brand’s upcoming drops, including the Air Jordan 1 “Green Glow” next weekend.
