  • adidas Centennial 85 Low⁣⁣ - straight from the basketball archives

    ADIDAS CENTENNIAL 85 LOW

It's been 37 years since the adidas Centennial made its debut.
The silhouette, which unmistakably comes from the basketball sector, was released for the first time in 1985. Now it's back and it's every bit as good as the '80s original!
The retro comes with uppers made of the finest leather and suede and, as usual with basketball silhouettes, with perforated toebox. Classic for the Centennial Low: the round grooves on the heel. The yellowed midsole and the cream-colored details remain true to the year 1985 and provide neat vintage feelings with nostalgia factor.

STRAIGHT FROM THE BASKETBALL ARCHIVES - SPICED UP FOR THE HERE AND NOW!

That the Centennial Low was quite rightly dug out of the basketball archives and has its raison d'être in 2022 and beyond, we proved with our editorial shoot.
Together with @elinevanhaasteren and @nelsongariba we styled and staged the court silhouette for everyday use! If you look closely, you can even see that the grooves on the heel of the Centennial Low are reminiscent of the Ligne Roset Togo armchair that takes place in our cozy setting.

If you want to get inspired, take a look at our photo series, the editorial video and the two new colorways of the Centennial Low.

We are sure: the Centennial is here to stay and our new Everyday's choice!

METAL GREY AND TEAM DARK GREEN

The adidas Centennial 85 Low is now available in two colorways and full sizerun in our online store. If you like it classic and a bit more discreet, you might go for the *Metal Grey* colorway and if you want a bit more color, the *Team Dark Green* colorway is the perfect choice!

A special fact comes at the end: The Centennial Low not only looks great, but also has a much better eco-balance, because it is partly made from textile waste and residual materials and thus has a certain recycling content!
