Custom MSCHF x INRI Nike Air Max 97 "Jesus Shoes"

Update 14-10-2019 We've uncovered some really good news about the currently popular MSCHF x INRI Nike Air Max 97 "Jesus Shoes". At this point, thanks to Rene for the awesome info. With this new sneaker, the partners didn't exactly come up with the design to promote the faith or remember Jesus. They wanted to draw attention to the increasing rate of brand collaborations, which have become all too much at the moment. The decisive factors were adidas and AriZona, as MSCHF manager Daniel Greenberg said:
"We saw a cooperation between Adidas and Arizona Eistee, who actually only sell drinks. So we wanted to make a statement about how absurd the 'Collab Culture' has become".
What do you think of the irony? The "holy" shoes will be dropping every month on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday until the 10th of August next year. Our next chance will be on October 22nd. You can find more information about this latest release on jesus.shoes and on mschf.xyz.
pic by jesus.shoes Original article 09-10-2019 For some it may be a bit macabre, but for others it's just a plain ingenious way to design a shoe. With this Nike Air Max 97, you will literally tread holy water! Fashion label MSCHF from South Korea has released an INRI sneaker that is reminiscent of the great miracle of Jesus. Matthew 14:25 states: "But in the fourth vigil, Jesus came to them and walked on the sea." For this new model, the Air unit is filled with 60cc of holy water that originally came from the River Jordan and blessed afterwards. This does sound strange indeed! Apart from that, these "holy" sneakers also have a red insole to remind of the Pope's shoes and a metallic cross on top of the pristine white laces. The packaging that comes with the MSCHF x INRI Nike Air Max 97 "Jesus Shoes" provide further clarity about the divine symbols used. The shoe box features an angel, which comes from Albrecht Durer's 1514 engraving Melencolia I as well as a seal, which comes from the official papal seal.
