Allen Iverson’s Reebok Question Gets Makeover From Packer Shoes

Although NBA legend Allen Iverson hasn’t stepped on a pro court in six years, his Question signature shoe with Reebok — which turned 20 this year — has once again become a must-have for ballers and sneaker fans alike. And thanks to renowned New Jersey-based boutique retailer Packer Shoes, another iteration of the style is on the way that is sure to turn heads and sell out fast.

The Packer Shoes x Reebok Question Mid “Curtain Call” arrives Sept. 16 and will retail for $175. The shoe is limited to 500 pairs and will be available exclusively at the retailer’s pop-up shop at Reebok’s store in New York’s Union Square.

The “Curtain Call” iteration is executed with premium black pebbled Horween leather upper with a texture reminiscent of a basketball, an homage to the sport Iverson dominated for years, as well as nods to the two original Question colorways by employing red and blue suede on the toe and collar near the ankle, respectively. Also as a reference to the original Question is the classic blue ice sole. It also employs high-end details such as full grain leather for the lace loops, accents and inner linings, and metal lace tips.

To offer a point of differentiation from other models, Packer swapped out the No. 3 on each heel for the letters “A” and “I,” tonal Packer branding on the tongue, and tattoo-inspired “Bubba Chuck” graphics on the insoles (Iverson’s childhood nickname).

And if getting the shoes isn’t enough, you could also meet recently minted Basketball Hall of Famer Iverson and acclaimed photographer Gary Land at the pop-up. According to Packer Shoes, the star and the man who photographed him regularly will be present on Sept. 16 to celebrate the release and meet with fans.
