Stylist Posh McKoy Talks Best Party Shoes for the Holiday Season at Stuart Weitzman Event

Stuart Weitzman tapped wardrobe imagist Posh McKoy to host a night of sips and styling.

Held at their Hudson Yards boutique in New York on Tuesday night, the brand invited shoppers to see the latest shoes and accessories, and McKoy brought his expert styling tips to the evening.

“Weitzman has been supporting me since I was an intern at Vogue Magazine,” McKoy told FN. “And it’s been five years working with a brand getting placements with Zendaya, with Karlie Kloss, with Bella Hadid. So they’ve just been family. They came out to me to support them in the new launch of their boots and to support the 5050 boots which I’ve been excited to do.”

While at the event, McKoy gave his best holiday party shoe advice.

“Every woman needs a single strap, where it’s a single toe strap and a single heel strap, like the Nudist, always works out,” McKoy said. “Every woman also needs a comfortable platform. Also, something with shine. Something sequin, something with a little bit of sparkle, like a diamond embellishment, always makes sense. For any holiday; a birthday, Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, whatever you celebrate.”

“For men, you need a patent leather shoe,” McKoy said. “Men never have patent leather shoes. It goes with suits, it goes with casual daywear, it goes with anything. You need a bootie to trek through the New York terrors as well. And a great sneaker. Just a sneaker that also by elevation allows you to play with your wardrobe.”
