The 1970s was a time in history that gave rise to a number of fashion trends that are still popular today. It was a particularly groovy era defined by platform shoes, knee-high boots, bell bottoms and boho blouses. Chunky heels and tall boots were everywhere, from the streets of New York to London. There were loud looks (think nights out at Studio 54) from the likes of Bianca Jagger, Cher and Diana Ross. Meanwhile, celebrities like Diane Keaton, Jane Birkin and Ali McGraw kept things a bit more casual. Here, discover some of the shoes you would have seen in the ’70s.
